The Sensabaugh Tunnel — Down a backroad near Kingsport, Tennessee is a long tunnel dug through a hillside. Legend has it, a man named Mr. Sensabaugh once lived at the other end with his family before he brutally murdered them and vanished without a trace. Now, people drive their cars halfway through the tunnel and kill the engine, and many report strange cries and beastlike growls coming from the darkness, said to be the demon of Mr. Sensabaugh himself come to haunt those who trespass near his home. Most believe the tales to be false, but when Sam Wells rides with two of his friends into the tunnel, he realizes that they were true all along.
The Tree That Told Time — They say you can see time itself in the rings of an old stump, infinite loops circling around the center of a long-gone tree that at one time ruled over its corner of the forest. Each ring is a year, each year the passing of summer. The passing of life. But also the return of life after each subsequent winter. Sometimes, a tree tells more about time than just what its rings show.
